Although initially designed for legitimate use such as enabling employers to monitor the employee's use of the work computers, the software has been largely used to commit financial fraud. Once the hackers gain access to passwords and other bank account details, they are able to transfer money from different bank accounts to other accounts, either locally or foreign Radha (2004). The keylogger used in the London case enabled the cybercriminals to keep track of the keystrokes used when the unsuspecting victims used the bank's client interface to access their bank accounts.
